We are looking for dedicated professionals to join our supportive, diverse, and collaborative team to make a difference in the lives of individuals in our community. We are immediately hiring a full time Clinician to provide a safe therapeutically supervised environment for visitation between the child and non-custodial parent, as directed by the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP).

Location: Position based out of Fair Lawn, New Jersey

Responsibilities:

  • To counsel parents in their homes (or wherever the family and the Division deem appropriate) on developing or enhancing their parenting skills;
  • To provide weekly individual counseling sessions to the non-custodial parent; in a location convenient to the parent.
  • To observe parent and child interaction and offers corrective suggestions/interventions to improve parenting skills toward a goal of reunification;
  • If reunification is not possible, assist parent(s) in supporting the Division permanency/placement plans;
  • To provide visitation, at Children’s Aid and Family Services or in the DCP&P Office or other locations(s) that may be identified;
  • To provide DCP&P with necessary court reports, assessments of client progress, and descriptions of parent/child interactions;
  • To attend family team meetings, if requested by the family; or DCP&P
  • To develop and complete pre and post-evaluations and supervised visitation checklists;
  • To maintain and submit monthly Level of Service logs documenting direct client contact hours;
  • To testify in court regarding client participation in TSVP services if properly subpoenaed;
  • To maintain all case records and documents that reflect the above-identified services provided by Children’s Aid and Family Services;
  • Attend training to meet licensing standards for personal professional development (Licensing, training, etc.)
  • To actively participate in updates, reviews, and audits;
  • To work cooperatively and collaboratively with all staff ;
  • To maintain NJ SPIRIT System / Citrix;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Master's level professional with appropriate licensure with relevant experience working with children and parents;
  • Bilingual/Spanish Fluency a plus
  • Excellent report writing and documentation skills;
  • Computer literacy - Microsoft Applications, EHR experience preferred.
  • Strong engagement, relationship development, and intervention skills
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations;
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team; and
  • Valid driver’s license/good driving history with the use of own vehicle for self-transportation - mileage reimbursement provided.
