- Non-traditional work hours such as nights, weekends, and holidays depending on the needs of the university community.
- Some positions will have permanent overnight shifts.

- Provides outreach events and educational instruction, consultations, and workshops to campus and local communities.
- Leads the Libraries consultation services for data management plans and MavsDataverse, the Libraries open data repository.
- Participates in research and grant projects by establishing partnership and workflows to manage priorities.
- Publishes outputs for open dissemination and advancing the open scholarship movement through open data and best practices for research reproducibility.
- Leads development of guidelines and policies for data management and data collection development to meet the needs of the teaching and research community.
- Serves as library liaison to academic department(s).
- Collaborates to create and deliver curricula; offer teaching and learning experiences that integrate active learning strategies; develops and shares disciplinary expertise across multiple literacies to best meet learning and professional growth outcomes for students.
- Collaborates in the design, implementation, and maintenance of relevant online tools and services in order to place the Libraries into the flow of teaching, learning, and research.
- Participates in professional associations, workshops, conferences, and meetings, and contribute to the advancement of the profession and the status of the University Libraries.
- Be an advocate and ally for equity, diversity, justice, and inclusion.
- Continuously assesses and iterates programs to improve services and advance initiatives.
- Identifies and integrates best practices in service, teaching and learning, and scholarly activity.
- Fosters an environment of continual professional development, improvement, and learning.
- Engages in outreach and professional development that centers on supporting student success and faculty excellence.
- Participates in committees and task forces within the Libraries, university, and the profession.
- Demonstrates commitment to innovation and discovery in order to remain relevant in higher education and support others in doing so as well.
Perform other duties as assigned
- Two (2) years of related experience.
- Awareness of national and international trends in data management, curation, and collection.
- One (1) year of teaching experience in an academic environment.
- Understanding of metadata and data curation standards and practices.

- Ability to innovatively use technology and evidence-based decision-making practices to develop and implement best practices for data services.
- Ability to communicate effectively including both verbal and written skills.
- Model and mentoring student employees in the development of their interpersonal skills.
- Expertise in teaching, both in person and online.
- Commitment to developing professional knowledge and skills on a continuing basis.
