Location Description:
The Post Consumer Brands plant in Asheboro, NC is the newest addition to the company's network, featuring some of the most modern cereal production technology in the industry and the facility has quadrupled in size since it opened in 2007. Asheboro's 230+ team members produce some of our newest and most innovative cereals, like Oreo O's cereal! While there is plenty to do right in Asheboro, the town is only a few hours from the Atlantic Ocean in one direction and the Blue Ridge Mountains in the other direction.

The Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) provides generalist support for employees and leaders in a 24/7 plant environment. This role reports to the local plant HR Manager. They are responsible for coaching, supporting, influencing, and enabling employee groups, including team members and leaders, to effectively deliver their people plans aligned with company objectives. This position participates in projects related to HR including talent attraction, selection, management, development, and separations. This role is responsible for completing all job duties in a manner that supports plant safety, food safety, quality and environmental practices.

  • Perform HR Generalist duties in the areas of talent acquisition, onboarding, training, performance management, benefits, compensation, etc., and act as a resource for team members and leaders
  • Design and execute strategies to ensure consistent staffing for local operations, including directly hired and indirectly-sourced talent
  • Build a trusting relationship with all team members, including plant leadership, by seeking to understand people issues and working to deliver solutions. Act as a resource for team members for HR-related questions (compensation, leaves of absence, training, development, attendance, policies, etc.)
  • Coach front-line supervisors in effective talent practices and increase individual talent management capabilities. Use knowledge and expertise to constantly increase local talent capabilities resulting in increased organizational effectiveness.
  • Proactively manage employee relations issues in a positive manner in partnership with business leaders and the local HR Manager. Build management responsibility and capability for managing employee relations.
  • Use HR data and metrics to build accountability and drive business results for self and the local HR team
  • Responsible for representing the employees' needs from the plant level and providing feedback to the COE teams
  • Participate in and lead projects that support plant and company initiatives to enhance HR processes
  • Act as primary backup to HR Coordinator for front desk receptionist duties
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local legal and regulatory requirements related to people practices

  • Balance strategic and tactical skills
  • Demonstrated problem analysis and resolution
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation communication skills
  • Comprehensive HR business process knowledge, including training, applicant tracking systems, talent management, change management, HCM suite experience: benefits, payroll, time and attendance, performance management, compensation, employee and manager self service experience
  • Effective project management experience to lead projects from concept through implementation
  • Exceptional leadership and teamwork skills
  • Build effective partnerships through influence and relationship building skills
  • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule to support 24/7 operation

Education
Four-year degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or other related field of study preferred

Experience
3-5 years of increasing generalist responsibility within Human Resources preferably in a manufacturing environment
