Who Are We Looking For:
Xposure Foundation Inc is seeking a highly motivated, organized, engaging and detail-oriented Outreach Specialist to join our team. This individual will provide support to our students, teachers, administrative staff, family and other stakeholders. Outreach Specialists will report directly to the Managing Director and work in support of the Tutoring and Wellness Program. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, hard-working, energetic, and able to proactively anticipate the needs of the students, the families, the department and key external partners. The Outreach Specialist, if not experienced, must be a fast learner and have great communication skills, writing skills, networking skills, and leadership. In addition, must have experience working in a Non-Profit Realm, School, and/or Educational Institution. The position requires flexibility and is admin heavy. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities:
The outreach coordinator's responsibilities include data collection and analysis, representing our organization at trade fairs, organizing media events, fundraising, and coordinating tutor matching and staff activity. This position is responsible for helping families access and utilize the CXY program and its resources to ensure we achieve the goal of bridging the academic achievement gap.
The primary function of the position is to work with management and associated staff members to manage, develop and drastically improve the communication between the program and the partners and families we serve.
- Work with admin, tutors, parents and students to develop individualized remediation and skill building plans for each student
- Accurately understand the inner workings of our program including our model of instruction and how it’s delivered, the importance of our data and engagement, the dependence on our students and families to adhere to the requirements of our program in order to have successfully engaged them remotely and an deploy an energetic and effective way of providing convincing information to families that are: showing less growth due to frequent absences, lack of asynchronous/individual learning engagement, and don’t remember requirements or take them seriously.
- Keep in touch with interdisciplinary team in regards to fulfilling daily outreach and follow ups; maintain a closed ended mentality of resolution with tasks and assignments daily. Completing projects assigned in full.
- Creating a designing email and text templates for recurring use in communicating with families and stakeholders
- Learning and understanding our online tools; Whiteboard, Merithub and IXL at a baseline level in order to identify with and encourage the families we serve
- Outreach daily to red alert situations such as families with: attendance concerns and low attendance to tutoring sessions, red or orange mosaic engagement, missed orientation or assessment sessions, etc.
- Delegate to and communicate with Support team red alert students and collaborate on following up with them pre-tutoring sessions by making calls and sending texts prior to each session until behavior improves
- Represent program positively by maintaining a great relationship with families and gaining trust and understanding; this reflects a position of support for their circumstances which communicates a strong partnership
- Minimize family excuses by initial problem solving but by also documenting outreach of every attempt at reaching out, noting challenging families, reforming unresolved issues.
- Use program app CLickSEND to deliver mass updates as well as email
- Maintain a very organized virtual workspace and heavily document outreach. Initiate record keeping systems and processes that make the process easier to do and understand
- Communicate twice a week the goals and challenges of weekly outreach; Mondays and Saturdays. In a summary to the managing director and executive director.
- Ad Hoc responsibilities according to the ongoing change and development of business needs

- Exceptional breadth of community relations and outreach experience
- Superior grasp of objectives and goals for a variety of public services and programs
- Focused and enthusiastic self starting initiatives by learning the company background in order to connect our mission and goals to how we meet community needs
- High expertise in outreach and recruitment program management
- Sound skills in designing and facilitating at-risk, and challenging youth and family conversations
- Strong ability to recognize and plan for interventions related to lack of engagement and understanding
- Outstanding abilities in maintaining good and therapeutic relationships with staff, families and partners.
- Extraordinary interpersonal and communication skills
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to helping others, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, leadership, problem solving abilities, and organization.
- Highly preferable that the candidate is Bilingual
- Be flexible and available on weekends
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Google suite and command of remote technology
- Great writing and speaking etiquette
- Be an excellent listener and responder
- Prefer but not required: 4-year degree in a related field of social work or equivalent experience in outreach, motivational speaking, community relations, youth mentorship or like-minded field of work
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Schedule:
