Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor s degree. Two years of experience in software development and systems analysis are required. Additional related work experience in software development and systems analysis may substitute for the required college education on a year-for-year basis.
Preferences
- Experience in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of complex and performant GIS workflow optimization and geoprocessing automation using Python for ArcGIS, ModelBuilder, ArcMap, ArcCatalog, and ArcGIS Pro.
- Experience in GIS data conversion, development, maintenance, Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), integration, and administration for a variety of applications and use cases.
- Experience in spatial analysis using GIS desktop solutions such as ArcMap, ArcCatalog, and ArcGIS Pro.
- Experience working with ESRI tools.

This is an analytical position with the Geospatial Technologies Division, in support of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Application Development and Maintenance. Primary functions include GIS workflow optimization, development of automated geoprocessing scripts, data maintenance and production support, troubleshooting data and/or software, the creation of printable and digital maps, the development of web apps and mobile solutions using ESRI’s software suite, such as ArcMap, ArcCatalog, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Web App Builder, Survey123 and others. This position also involves analyzing, designing, and developing GIS web and mobile solutions; working closely with senior staff/project leads in the support and development of cartographic maps, data manipulation, reports, training, and overall end user support; presenting to internal and external audiences; interacting professionally with a diverse group, interpreting customer business processes/needs and translating them into requirements, specifications, and workflows, assessing situations, receiving input from stakeholders, and proposing viable solutions that will translate into business and technical requirements.
