LEGAL COUNSEL: The Senior Legal Counsel will report to US General Counsel. The position is primarily based in Atos office in Irving, Texas. Limited travel activity is to be expected. Atos has a hybrid working model with a mix of in office and work from home, and we have a high degree of flexibility in our way of working to allow for a good work/life balance. Our work language is English.

• Ability to operate as an independent advisor at a senior level and to build and maintain strong and collaborative relationships both internally and externally
• In-depth understanding of how business operates and how legal issues affect the organization
• Ability to develop legal strategy and objectives
• Excellent judgement and analytical skills
• Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to mentor and manage a team
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent academic qualifications
• Previous experience in the IT or technology sector or comparable industry and/or experience from law firm or inhouse legal function
• Enthusiasm, motivation, flexibility, and proactivity in solving issues
• Good team spirit
• International experience

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Manage the legal department, including implementing and supervising processes
• Manage, motivate and provide guidance and direction to the legal team, including planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance and training
• Manage and coordinate the handling of complex and varied legal and transactional matters.
• Lead and execute end-to-end complex projects
• Review, drafting, and negotiation of a wide variety of commercial and procurement related contracts working closely with Atos commercial, procurement and sales leads ensuring alignment with the Group’s key guidelines for commercial engagements
• Provide expert legal advice to the business inter alia on corporate transactions, pension, treasury and procurement matters
• Advising in contract reviews and approval processes
• Manage various types of litigations and cooperate with external counsels and advisors
• Participate in Group Legal Department activities and projects in short you will become a part of a diverse, hardworking, energetic and truly international team of lawyers working for Atos within USA specifically, and Atos globally in general.
