SUMMARY: A Logistics Coordinator will make decisions up and down our supply chain to ensure we are providing excellent service to our customers and drivers. Using inventory management software, it will analyze sales trends to create, schedule, and ensure orders are being delivered to meet our customers' needs. Working in a fast-past environment, it coordinates with other stakeholders throughout the organization to implement an efficient plan that maximizes our resources.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Managing product inventory levels and ensuring pick-ups and deliveries are made in accordance with service level targets.
• Dispatching company drivers and third-party carriers to pick-up and deliver product inventory keeping customers' serviced while minimizing cost to Customers and ML Energy.
• Ensuring all supply contracts and day deals are executed on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Providing outstanding customer service to Drivers and Customers.
• Ensuring load data accuracy.
• Completing daily and weekly operational reports.
• Maximizing customer service and company profits through effective management of customer requests, inventories, drivers, trucks, and logistics network.
• Covering shifts as needed. Transportation is 24 hours, 7 days a week / 365 days a year operation.
• Ideal candidate should possess strong people and problem-solving skills.
• Answering a high volume of incoming calls.
• Additional responsibilities and projects as assigned by the Logistics Team Leader.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Able to understand how different aspects of the supply chain interact with each other and then making decisions that optimize supply chain performance.
• Excellent communication skills, working in a team oriented and deadline sensitive environment
• Strong ability to multi-task. (phone, computer, in-person)
• Able to effectively communicate with a number of different stakeholders and persuade to take action for the best benefit of the company.
• Able to plan ahead, forward thinking mindset.
• Able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods of time. Position is desk based in an office environment or work remotely from home in professional office environment.
• Ability to cover shifts as needed. Transportation is 24 hours, 7 days a week / 365 days a year operation.
• Willing to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proven ability to problem solve. Taking initiative, understand business opportunities, analyze to identify root cause, develop an appropriate solution, and successfully implement the solution.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Prefer degree /or experience in supply chain, logistics, transportation, inventory management
• 1-3 years of experience
