PUREM by Eberspaecher is a Tier 1 automotive supplier. The Brighton plant is a robotic welding facility making exhaust systems for commercial and passenger car vehicles. We are currently looking for Material Handlers with stand-up HI Lo experience.

The objective of the Position: Operate or tend hoists or winches to lift and pull loads using power-operated cable equipment. Drives gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck or forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties.

Available Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00pm - 11:00pm).
Monday-Friday (weekends subject to mandatory overtime).
Essential Accountabilities:
  • Communicate material requests in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate repacking of empty totes.
  • Remove all empty totes, boxes, and recyclables from each cell and properly locate them.
  • Responsible to follow procedures for the cleaning and maintenance of the tugger/cart and the HI Lo if used.
  • Supply parts and components to all operating cells in a timely manner.
  • Work with a Changeover person to coordinate a timely material change.
  • Complete daily operator checklist and follows all safety rules.
  • Replace liquefied gas tank when required.
  • Determine routing and legal load limits of trucks, according to established schedules and weight limits of states.
  • Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, and seal loaded truck doors.
  • Knowledgeable of all Materials responsibilities. Participates in daily activities as required.
  • Move levers and press pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
  • Package service parts and special orders for shipment.
  • Position forks under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transport load to designated area.
  • Responsible for maintaining 5S in the department and periodically participating in the audit process.
  • Unload containers from trailers and inspects for damages. If damages exist, notify the Quality Department of potential parts damage.
  • Use hand-held scanners to inventory materials on the warehouse and production floor, and supply weld cells with materials as needed.
  • Weigh materials or products and record weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
Professional Background/Basic Qualification/Work Experience:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum one month’s related experience in the Material Handler setting.
  • Forklift Certification preferred but not required.
