As a Motion Control Service Engineer with AWC you will be responsible for design, implementation, commissioning and troubleshooting of Motion Control Low Voltage drives, motors, and Automation systems for a variety of industrial applications predominantly in the Water Industry, Petrochemicals and Oil and Gas sectors. The successful candidate must be innovative, passionate, and resourceful while demonstrating technical skills.

The Job:

  • Should have thorough knowledge of Motors and their selections and application
  • Understand product selection, engineering and commissioning of Drives and Drive Applications
  • Ability to design and support a motion application
  • Familiar with Siemens Automation products and systems
  • Possesses the necessary skills to accomplish Installation and Configuration
  • Able to conduct local On-Site Visits on a regular basis and travel as needed approximately 10% Of the time
  • In a field environment make independent decisions while solving issues at lowest level possible
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Outside and Inside Account Managers as it relates to drives, motors, and motion applications to help grow the business
  • Document best practices and share with colleagues

You will bring with you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering (preferred)
  • 3 years experience
  • 6 years’ experience ILO Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience with Siemens Drives, Motion Control Applications and Basic Automation systems
  • Knowledge of Motors / selection and application
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability and confidence to conduct presentations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Word, Excel
  • Must be available to respond for emergency and relief assignments
  • Positive attitude/strong team player

Previous experience and knowledge with the following products will help you stand out:

  • SINAMICS S120, S210, G120
  • Simotion Scout
  • Engineering and implementation od Drive Tech applications based on SINAMICS Drive Control Chart (DCC) or Open Architecture (OA /SINAMICS TEC)
