Compensation and Schedule for the Phlebotomist - Acute Care

Phlebotomist - Acute Care – Full-time or Part-time, $16.50-$18 per hour with ASCP or AMT (RPT Phleb tech) certification. Join a growing location with great benefits!

Mid shift: 2:00pm to 9:30pm - 10% shift differential

Night shift: 10:00pm to 6:30am - 18% shift differential

*every shift rotates e/o weekend and holidays on and off

Required Qualifications of the Phlebotomist - Acute Care

• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency preferred
• Previous experience as a phlebotomist required
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service required
• Strong communication skills required, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment required
• Ability to work under minimal supervision required
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable required
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed required
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test and other compliance requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check and drug screen

Responsibilities of the Phlebotomist - Acute Care

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
