What You Will Be Doing
The Production Manager is responsible for keeping the production schedule on track by making sure machines are running optimally and staffing levels are appropriate.
- Overall responsibility for the safety of the warehouse workers and the observance of all safety protocols in place as per corporate guidelines
- Work with the production supervisors to make sure the production schedule is being followed, is on time, and report any variations to the Director of Manufacturing
- Ensure all products being manufactured meet our stated quality standards or accepted deviations
- Work with the Warehouse Manager to make sure raw materials are being transported to and from the machines in a timely manner
- Compile the daily manufacturing results and present performance analysis
- Lead the daily Production Results meeting and present the performance from the previous day, along with an action plan for continuous improvement.
- Attend the daily Order Status meetings
- Maintain accurate Routings in our SAP system.
- Help to develop additional KPIs that will be tracked and measured for continuous improvement.
What You Need for this Position
- 5+ years of experience with managing production in a manufacturing facility.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a must
- SAP proficient
- Good understanding of machinery
- Proven work experience as a Production Manager in an EPA, FDA or ISO governed workplace is preferred
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Experience working in a controlled manufacturing environment where strict rules and guidelines are followed
- Six sigma, Lean Manufacturing, cGMP, ISO 9000, 9001 training highly desired
- 5S Training strongly preferred
