Reporting to the Senior Director for Home Entertainment Consumer Marketing, this Senior Manager of Media Planning & Analytics role will drive effectiveness and efficiency improvements and optimization across media channels that are core to the business strategies.
Role and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Director for Home Entertainment Consumer Marketing, this Senior Manager of Media Planning & Analytics role will drive effectiveness and efficiency improvements and optimization across media channels that are core to the business strategies.
Role Focus Areas:

drive media strategy, planning and analysis for the Home Entertainment (HE) division (TV, Home Audio, Branded Memory)
-
define, design, and drive best-in-class execution of precision marketing campaigns that are aligned with business goals and objectives communicated by the Integrated Marketing team leaders

lead the day-to-day management of the Media Agency holding them accountable for their scope of work
-
be responsible for providing best in-class support to the integrated marketing team & customer marketing teams, plus be able to manage the media operations for innovative marketing pilots and campaigns
Additional Roles and Responsibilities:
-
Leads the development, execution and day-to-day operation of the media strategy for HE lines of business

Partners with the consumer marketing leads for TV, Audio, and Memory to develop a comprehensive communications channel strategy

Works with stakeholders across consumer, digital, and shopper/trade marketing to provide oversight on the holistic media strategy

Ensures multiple stakeholder alignment to the strategy including, but not limited to executives and cross-functional teams at SEA and with global HQ

Manages the media agency day-to-day to deliver best-in-class strategic, tactical, and measurement plans to deliver/report against financial, in-market, and brand health objectives with the flexibility to adjust to a dynamic category environment and shifting business priorities

Supports ad-hoc and out of scope requests as needed

Manages support gaps between agreed SOW and business needs

Develops never-been-done-before media approaches and cutting-edge test and learn campaigns to push the marketing capabilities of the HE division while driving increased efficiency, effectiveness, and ROI

Works with the finance team to manage financial control processes from plan proposal to purchase order creation, including managing fluctuation and pacing from a reporting perspective

Acts as a liaison between the media agency and the lead creative and social agencies to ensure an integrated marketing, communications, and channel approach

Leverages multiple data sources to track effectiveness of marketing and media campaigns across HE lines of business:

Works with the agencies to track, report, and make real-time optimizations to digital marketing to maximize ROI and deliver against business objectives.

Leads the annual marketing mix analysis process.

Builds and maintains a model to provide real time tracking and reporting of marketing effectiveness

Establishes a formal and frequent cadence of reporting results through the development of a KPI dashboard and bi-monthly live meeting forum

Works with global HQ on designing and executing media pilots, test plans and partnerships
Skills and Qualifications
Necessary Skills / Attributes:
-
Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred plus a minimum of 8+ years in a relatable role with extensive working knowledge of the media landscape and performance-based digital marketing

Must have at least 8+ years of experience planning, executing, measuring, and reporting media campaigns
-
Must be able to provide tangible examples of how the performance of the plans influenced business results
-
Previous experience working in an agency environment and also in house on the client-side is preferred where strategic thinking, analytics, and organization were critical to success

Must possess traditional / digital media and performance marketing acumen, have proficiency in working in advanced data-driven media approaches

Ability to synthesize business and marketing goals into clear briefs and plans
-
Be comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment, have an ability to navigate continuously optimized plans, and have a willingness to rapidly ramp up quickly

Must have previous experience working in a matrixed organization, navigating complexities with multiple stakeholders across functions and divisions

Seeking a natural leader and story-teller who is able to distill complex media concepts, strategies, and plans into clear recommendations for leadership

Must exhibit a strong bias for action
