State Filing Associate
WE OFFER
Administers the System Electronic Rates & Forms Filing (SERFF) submission, coordination and documentation of rate, rule and form filings across all HSB direct insurance products through to successful approvals in each state. Assists in the development of rate and rule filing materials provided to client companies that will allow to provide assumed/reinsurance products in the market under their paper across both commercial and personal lines. Requires collaboration with other areas within the company, such as Product Administration, Legal, IT, Product Management, Actuarial and Pricing and members of the internal client integration teams.This position will also work towards developing product expertise and a general understanding of rate, rule and form filings and regulatory compliance.
WE EXPECT
Education and Experience:- Bachelor’s Degree, or working towards completion of degree, or equivalent work experience
- Insurance background preferred but not necessary
- Internship, work study employment, part time or summer employment history
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Technology savvy
- Strong analytical skills
- Critical thinking, system thinking
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and SharePoint
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Ability to multi-task duties and projects on a timely basis
