Job Summary: Responsible for deterring criminal activity by adhering to a facility’s security measures. Security Services Northwest is actively looking for a full-time unarmed security guard in the Omak, WA area.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Control access to the client's facility

· Patrol client facilities on foot

· Deter intrusion, theft and vandalism

· Watch for fire and flood and other hazards

· Assist employees and visitors

· Write reports of daily/nightly activities, incidents, observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.

· Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.

· Enforcing site-specific directives (Post orders)

· Maintaining high visibility and attentiveness to details.

· Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.

· Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

· Qualified candidates have at least a high school diploma or equivalent

· Have a current Washington armed or unarmed Security license

Preferred Qualifications:

· At least 3-4 years previous security officer experience preferred

Physical Demands:

· Physical activity, including standing, walking, climbing stairs, and inclines during shifts.

· Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat,

· Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds,

· Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods.
