WAREHOUSE FOREMAN, TRANSPORTATION
JOB DESCRIPTION
QUALIFICATIONS:
(1) High school diploma or equivalent.
(2) Two (2) years successful experience in storage operation.
(3) Valid Florida Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), class B preferred.
(4) Certification to operate a lift truck and other material handling equipment.
(5) Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to use basic computer hardware and software. Ability to schedule time, prioritize and work efficiently. Knowledge of supplies and transportation equipment utilized by the school system. Knowledge of storekeeping methods and procedures of records used in the receipt, storage and issuance of equipment, materials and supplies. Knowledge of the School Board’s purchase and requisition procedures. Ability to supervise effectively. Ability to operate material-handling equipment. Ability to exercise independent judgment in assigned duties.
Ability to conduct research and compile information. Ability to operate and maintain transportation vehicles. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to plan, organize and establish priorities related to assignment. Ability to carry out job responsibilities and handle sensitive information in a confidential manner. Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimum supervision. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to answer a telephone in a professional and courteous manner.
Ability to work cooperatively with others.

JOB GOAL
To maintain a cost effective and adequate parts inventory for the school district’s bus fleet.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Service Delivery
*(1) Supervise the operation and personnel in the district transportation warehouse.
*(2) Assist in developing efficient storage methods.
*(3) Plan productive and economical use of personnel and equipment.
*(4) Maintain and control transportation inventory supplies.
*(5) Suggest restocking of designated transportation parts and supplies.
*(6) Maintain stock inventories.

*(7) Demonstrate initiative in the performance of assigned responsibilities.

*Essential Performance Responsibilities
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force as needed to move objects.

Support Personnel Pay Grade 13 250 days worked per year (12 months)
