Job description

We are looking for a Director of Logistics to help run our warehouse efficiently and according to safety guidelines. Responsibilities include supporting all supply chain procedures, from coordinating deliveries to managing shipping documentation. To be successful in this role, you should be well-organized and understand the order fulfillment cycle. Ultimately, you will ensure our customers receive the right orders on time.

Proven track record of being an effective leader in a fast paced, high volume organization.

Detailed understanding of material movement in a manufacturing environment, including; import and export requirements, regulatory guidelines, high volume parcel shipments, and equipment freight shipments.

Proven ability to manage supplier relationships to meet corporate goals and requirements.

Experience managing sub-contracted logistics service providers including freight forwarders.

Proven ability to lead projects relating to distribution center efforts, including resource planning, space and layout requirements, subcontracted service partners and other resource planning.

Active participation as operational leader with extensive warehouse operations experience.

Demonstrates concern for precision and thoroughness.

Proven ability to lead a high performance team to consistently achieve goals and objectives.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Up to 25% travel is required.

BS degree or equivalent and 5+ years of experience leading DC operations and logistics strategy in a retail or manufacturing environment.

Background check and drug screen required.

Full-time onsite Mon-Fri in Petersburg, VA.
