IT Specialist
Description/Responsibilities:
The IT / Field Operations Support Professional utilizes technology solutions and user-friendly training for
restaurant managers to resolve business-related problems. This position serves as a liaison between
operations, corporate team, and the IT team. This role includes planning, recommending and
implementing new technology of better use and application of existing systems and technology across
the organization.
Operations
- Maintains Company’s Vendor and Facilities list.
- Assist and Support Operations team as needed.
Point of Sale Systems
- Oversee Toast database and delegate to ensure responsibilities are met.
- Ensure all systems are operational through daily observation and communicate to necessary parties.
- Oversee new store installations of POS equipment.
- Firewall administration setup.
- Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user
- projects.
- Accomplishes information technology results by communicating job expectations; planning,
- monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating,
- coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
Purchasing
- Manage all company order guides (i.e. GFS, CFE, Ed Don and Staples).
- Coordinates with vendors on all new product testing and set up.
- Works closely with commissary director on all purchasing activities for the company.
PCI (Payment Card Industry) Compliance
- Perform quarterly PCI scans of location’s firewalls to certify compliance is met.
- Provide quarterly PCI surveys to confirm compliance.
- Quarterly reporting of PCI compliance to appropriate vendors.
- Safeguard PCI servers from breaches.
Third Party Vendors
- Manage and install third party software at all locations including: Restaurant 365, CTUIT, Fishbowl, QuicBooks, UberEats, GrubHub, Doordash, Delivery Dudes, LunchBox, AppFront, Itopia (Google Cloud Based Server), 7Shifts.
- Manage phone systems and equipment.
- Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting
- strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
Desired
- Experience with implementing strategies for gathering, reviewing and analyzing data requirements.
- Knowledge of cost/benefit analysis.
- Microsoft VBA programming, PivotCharts and PivotTables.
- ·Strong Microsoft Windows background
- Proficient in supporting Microsoft 365
- A good understanding of Google cloud environment and the ability to configure or make changes to that environment
- A working knowledge of Mac operating systems for support of Mac products
- A working knowledge of Connectwise and using scripts
- Knowledge of AGILE SDLC.
- Experience with ticket system; Freshdesk preferred.
Other
- Ensure security of data, network access, Wifi and backup systems.
- Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.
- Set up and manage accounts and workstations.
- Troubleshoot issues and outages.
Requirements
- Experience with Toast POS
- Experience with Restaurant 365 highly desireable.
- Experience with restaurant/service/ hospitality industry
- Advanced experience working with POS systems.
- Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- A desire to work closely with customers and co-workers in sometime tough situations.

- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Intermediate Microsoft office knowledge and setup required.

- Attention to detail. Handle multiple projects/ multiple deadlines.
- Enjoy working in a fast paced/ entrepreneurial environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
