NETWORK SERVICES ANALYST
Job description
The Network Services Analyst provides technical support and assistance for network services to users in various areas of the College district wide. This includes but is not limited to classroom AV technology, campus card integration for POS and facility access, applications interfacing with our Student Information System and network infrastructure planning and implementation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proficiency with Windows OS, Office 365, system configuration, loading and configuring software. Hardware repair experience with personal computers, and HP printers a must. Audio Visual setup and configuration experience in and interactive environment. Experience with access control software setup and hardware using proximity cards. Network experience in a TCP/IP Ethernet switched environment and switch maintenance a plus. Associates Degree in Computer Repair Technology, Electronics Technology, or a related field preferred. Five or more years work experience in a similar environment considered in lieu of an Associate’s Degree.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Researches and recommends instructional classroom technology.
- Provides technical support for the install and support of instructional technology.
- Provides training for Instructional technology, including but not limited to one on one training for faculty and providing instructional videos.
- Works with other IT professionals, vendors and facilities personnel concerning new construction or renovations to existing facilities.
- Provides support for applications interfacing with the Student Information System.
- Works with vendors to provide support for the Campus ID system integration on multiple platforms on campus, the Point of Sale system/registers and access control.
- Assists with any audio-visual needs that arise on campus.
- Assists faculty and staff in solving hardware, software, and network/communications related problems.
- Responsible for maintaining personal computers and peripherals in offices and classrooms; including new installations, moves, upgrades and repairs.
- Other responsibilities assigned by the IT Manager.
