Job Description – Production Engineer

CraneWorks is a successful heavy-duty truck mounted equipment manufacturer and distributor with offices in Houston, TX / Haslet, TX / Brighton, CO / Hampton, NJ / Orlando, FL / San Marcos, CA , St Louis, MO, and Olathe, KS. CraneWorks also has outstanding in-house Service and Parts Departments at all locations and provides mobile service trucks that allow us to respond in the field. Our world class Parts Departments can ship parts anywhere in the world.

CraneWorks has a direct hire opportunity for a Production Engineer (Mechanical Engineer) at our Houston, TX location. The job includes engineering of the installation of Truck mounted cranes and related accessories. Managing production requirements and producing CAD drawings.

Job Summary

Reporting to the General Manager, qualified candidates will be responsible for· 3D CAD Knowledge, Autodesk Inventor preferred (Solidworks or similar acceptable)

· Producing Engineering prints from CAD Models

· Setting up Nests/CNC for production from CAD files

· Proficient at Microsoft Excel

· Proficient with Force and Moment Calculations

· Creating layouts for product visualizations

· Knowledge of transportation industry (preferably Commercial Trucks)

· Experience with Cranes and lifting equipment

· Knowledge of welding processes and other shop fabrication tools press brake, lathe, etc

· If graduating student (Formula SAE or Mini Baja Experience)

Qualifications and Experience

· Candidate must live in Houston area

· Mechanical Engineering degree

· Project Management experience is a plus

· Specific experience with heavy equipment a plus

· Must be able to read engineering drawings and hydraulic schematics

· Self-motivated and disciplined with an ability to work closely with management and customers

· Excellent communication, analytical, and problem- solving skills, with the ability to work well under time constraints

· Must be dependable and have a valid driver’s license

· Good PC Skills: Excel and Word

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
