JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:

The QA Technician is an operational role responsible for executing and delivering best in class quality assurance functions including, but not limited to the inspection of in-coming raw materials and in-process materials, documenting the batching, mixing, and manufacturing process, ensuring product consistency & quality, and the final inspection of finished products, prior to shipment to the customer.

The Current Team:

The QA Technician works closely with R&D, Manufacturing, and other QA personnel to resolve all quality issues.

Essential Functions:

- Follow all safety regulations

- Perform inspection and testing of raw materials to determining acceptability against specifications

- Perform in-process testing to ensure product acceptability

- Perform physical testing of final product to ensure products conform to specifications

- Perform final inspection of finished product to ensure products conform to specifications

- Maintain test records and supply product information to the organization as necessary

- Maintain a clean and safe lab working environment

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Other Attributes:

-NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!!!

Areas you would learn while training:

- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments

- Problem-solving skills

- Computer skills, including Excel and Word

- Experience in refractories and/or ceramics

- Experience in ISO quality systems

Now to be fair there are a couple of work requirements :

- Able to lift and carry up to 65 pound product test samples

-The ability to work Wednesday - Sunday, 5:30am - 2pm.
