Responsible for collecting documentation and verifying completeness and accuracy as well as review of SBA program eligibility requirements on small loan submissions. Assist with onboarding and ongoing training for small loan closing department. Manage individual pipeline on a day to day basis, work with management in order to sustain internal closing goals.
- Ensure loan file accuracy, including packaging documents, satisfaction of credit conditions (if applicable) and compliance with SBA Small Loan requirements
- Regularly communicate with Borrowers, BDOs and external third parties to achieve internal closing deadlines with a superior level of customer service
- Actively manage the closing process and collection of necessary information
- Collect all closing file due diligence; review or forward to appropriate party for review, and ensure that review is delivered within established timeframes
- Provide detailed reviews of closing documents, including: entity documents; searches; insurance; licenses; cash injections; and verification of mortgages
- Discern and resolve issues that may transpire during the closing process
- Assist teammates to resolve issues prior to management intervention
- Coordinate closing and funding logistics
- Review HUD Settlement Statements if applicable
- Ensure correct lien position and solidification for all collateral
- Strive to achieve internal service level goals on both individual and department levels
- Carry out such other duties as may be assigned or requested
Job Requirements:
- Prior experience in commercial loan or SBA loan closings preferred
- Understanding of SBA eligibility, documentation and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in technology platforms commonly used to close and fund SBA loans
- Superior organization skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal, personal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple loan closing requests in various stages while maintaining a superior level of customer service
