Job Description:
Job Summary
This Project Specialist will support a fast paced team that drives high visibility Commercial & Customer initiatives, delivers Customer value to the Rapid Rewards program, and creates business value opportunities through innovation & strategic partnerships.
Responsible for managing smaller, lower complexity projects or specific deliverables on larger initiatives. Provide facilitation, support and coordination for projects and programs.

Responsibilities
Define simple project plans/roadmaps and execute tasks defined in project plan to achieve project goals using standard project management methodologies and practices
Work with team to breakdown work into smaller components or features and to identify critical path
Complete assigned and project tasks with minimal direction
Manage risk, action, issues and decisions log
Analyze impact of problems and facilitate resolution, and escalate to Leadership as needed
Prepare presentations & agendas, schedule meetings and record minutes for Project meetings
Partner, communicate, and build relationships to gather Customer and business requirements and communicate effectively with Project Team and support groups
Work with development teams to ensure work is completed as planned. Follow analytical methods for task execution/tracking and budget/timeline tracking
Assess project needs continually and resources to complete projects on time and within budget
Drive testing and acceptance of project results for smaller projects
May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficient knowledge of project processes, problem management tools and procedures
Knowledge of Agile development practices and ceremonies
Knowledge of the interplay between technology applications and systems infrastructure
Knowledge of the impact a specific application has on operational and business functions
Skilled in strong Customer Service and Team orientation
Skilled in active listening, presenting, and facilitating team and stakeholder meetings
Ability to facilitate discussions to drive team and business customers toward decisions
Ability to maintain composure under pressure and accurately assess problem situations along with working effectively in a fast paced, collaborative, Team based environment
Ability to prioritize and complete tasks by scheduled completion date
Ability to demonstrate emerging Leadership skills to give direction to outside Contractors and maintain positive relationships with internal Customers
Past experience as a business analyst or consultant is highly preferred

Education
Required: High School Diploma or GED

Experience
Required: Intermediate-level experience, fully functioning broad knowledge in project management
PMP certification preferred

Licensing/Certification
N/A

Physical Abilities
Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

Other Qualifications
Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
