Job description

We are looking for a qualified person to program and set up our 3 and 5 axis HAAS mills, lathes, and Thermwood 5 axis routers. We use Master Cam and Solid Works software. Machining will consist mostly of plastic, aluminum, and some soft and non-ferrous metals. May be required to support short runs and prototype operating. We will provide above standard compensation for a qualified candidate. Program and setup 3 axis CNC Mills with 2 axis trunnion, CNC Lathes with live tooling, and 5 axis CNC Routers. Works from solid models and blueprints to create tool paths using CAD CAM software. Develops and creates work holding fixtures that utilize various clamping and vacuum methods. Be able to program and set up multi axis mills and routers. Must possess good communication skills in English, both oral and written.Proficient use of shop math skills. Must be competent in utilizing precision measuring equipment. Knowledge of work holding devices and fixtures. Read and understand blueprints, customer sketches, written specifications and/or drawings. Utilize correct cutting tools for various materials. Ensures proper training and safety practices for operators. Ensure quality control standards are maintained. Lay out work from drawings, blueprints or written specifications. Working knowledge of Mastercam and Solid Works. (or similar) Be familiar with Haas, Fanuc, and Thermwood controls. Create in-process inspection forms. Maintain area around machinery in a neat, clean and orderly manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.74 - $35.00 per hour
