Job Summary- Koa is a 501c3 non-profit organization based in Rockville, Maryland. We are a dynamic, fun, growing company, with a bleeding passion for sports! Our mission is “shaping kids’ lives through sports” every decision we make, comes back to our mission. We have a dozen full time employees and a part time staff of over 200 and looking for more all-stars. The Marketing Director and Brand Advocate at Koa Sports is a full time, salaried, exempt position. That is responsible for creating digital content, including managing our website and email database, as well as physical signage inside our training facility. The job includes overseeing social media, creating flyers, writing emails, strategic partnerships, speaking to and creating positive relationships with the Koa families. This position reports directly to Koa’s CEO.

The job is located at Koa Sports HQ- 9801 Washingtonian Blvd Gaithersburg, MD with travel to local fields around the Beltway as well as traveling inside the United States for Tournaments. This position will require work outside of the traditional 9am-5 pm Monday-Friday timeframe.
Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Master Koa’s systems, including but not limited to:
    • Google Applications, Wordpress, Canva, MailChimp, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube
  • Hire and manage any at least 2 social media/content interns per season
  • Building Koa’s brand through social media, website, master list emails, and physically in the community
  • Answer general Koa phone calls
  • Comfortably and professionally email Koa’s database with Koa provided email
  • Mastery of Wordpress and capable of managing the back end of Koa's website
  • Attend Koa’s mandatory weekly meeting Sales & Marketing Meeting
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proficient communication, verbal and electronic

  • Answer customer phone calls and speak to clients in person at events
