Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data.
- Experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in a quantitative discipline.
- Experience of familiarity with one or more of the following languages: SQL, HTML, JavaScript, Python, and/or C++ (with the opportunity to upskill on the job).
- Experience of familiarity with Search Engine Optimization (SEO), website development, or working with/as a site owner.
- Experience or familiarity with machine learning systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

As a Search Quality Analyst, you will protect users of Google Search by identifying and preventing harmful behavior, enforcing and improving our Webmaster Guidelines, and working closely with engineering partners to improve ranking components. You will be challenged to think both analytically and creatively, proposing solutions and metrics that consider novel ways to measure the user experience through qualitative and quantitative analyses.
In addition, you will partner with engineers to launch changes and lead efforts that improve the overall search experience. Your work will have a direct impact on users every day.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$158,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Prevent abuse of Google Search by analyzing search trends, identifying inauthentic activity, and developing solutions.
- Solve analytical problems and apply analytical methods as needed within datasets.
- Engage cross-functionally with a wide variety of people and teams. Work closely with Engineers and Analysts to lead the development of long-lasting solutions.
- Prepare and present recommendations to multiple levels of stakeholders.
