GOVERNMENT RESEARCH COMPANY SEARCHING FOR AN ONSITE SOFTWARE ENGINEER!!!!

Candidate must be local to Columbus Ohio for consideration.

Candidate must have 10 years of experience in the following skills:

• Linux
• Ansible
• Kubernetes - High Availability and Load Balancing
• Tools like MongoDB, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ etc.
• Micro-Services
• C#
• C++
• Python

Description:
Designs and leads complex, multidisciplinary and innovative software engineering research studies.
Determines the appropriate analysis methods, identifies problems, and develops and implements solutions to complex problems.
Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs new and existing software systems, hardware/software interfaces, and/or applications according to industry established software engineering principals and best practices.
Works collaboratively within a team to execute the full system development lifecycle, including analyzing user needs to determine technical requirements: developing technical specifications based on conceptual design and requirements; developing well crafted and documented source code; integrating hardware using software; automating manual tasks; and consulting with the end users to prototype, configure, refine, test, and debug programs or systems.
Identifies and evaluates new technologies or methods for implementation and continuous improvement.
Leads complex and advanced technical projects where technical staff compiles and evaluates design and test data, prepares technical specifications, analyzes technical data to determine appropriate limits and variables for software systems, hardware/software interfaces, and/or applications.
Leads the analysis of complex data and provides focused interpretive reports detailing problems, innovative solutions and other recommendations.
Prepares and presents advanced technical reports and presentations to client.
Leads, plans and conducts major technical projects or major phases of significant technical projects, coordinating the efforts of technical support staff in the performance of assigned projects within time and budget constraints.
Reviews projects progress and evaluates results.
Recommends modifications and corrections in technical applications and analysis.
Develops project and overhead budgets with clients and management.
Manages major proposals or major sections of large proposals.
Builds relationships with internal and external clients.
Manages client meetings and consults with clients on long-term research programs.
Recognized by clients as an expert in one or more specific areas of software engineering.
Presents results to clients, regulators, stakeholders, and in public forums as necessary.
Leads tasks.
Works on projects involving innovative methods or applications
Maintains successful, ongoing business development efforts and plays a lead role in identifying, cultivating, and capturing major business opportunities.
Assists in developing and implementing strategic plans for business development in particular area.
Consults with product line and marketing managers on long-term strategic planning issues.
Participates in scientific conferences, peer review panels, and increases company visibility through publications. Provides strong mentoring, technical guidance, and oversight to other scientists and engineers.
Provides work assignments to lower-level staff.

Additional:
Bachelors degree in related field with 10 years of experience
or
Masters degree in related field with 8 years of experience
or
PhD with 5 years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field.

Job Types: Contract, Full-time

Pay: $45.00 - $100.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
